Who They Are
Repeat Logo are a logo design company. They deal with companies in all different kinds of industries. Peace Of Mind are a company in the electronics industry. The main focus of the company is sensor technologies. Peace of Mind will design, assemble and distribute sensors to other businesses in electronics. A sensor is a peace of technology that notices a change in environment and then sends signals to other electronics – though it will mainly be a computer processor. Based in Hemel Hempstead, England, they aim to be at the top of their field. The management team at Peace of Mind realised that they needed a new design for their logo.
What They Needed
Strong brand identity is important for all companies. It is what can set you apart from your competition. One of the best starting points for building an identity for your brand is with a new logo design. This is because a logo is the first thing that potential customers see about your company. If you have a design that stands out and is attractive to them then they will be more likely to show an interest in your business.
Peace of Mind realised that in order to complete their goal of being top of their field, they would need a strong brand identity. After some research they discovered Repeat Logo, a professional logo design company. PoM made a decision to get in contact with us and enquire about how to go about getting a new logo for their business.
Before we went away to design the logo, Peace of Mind gave us some guidelines for the logo. The first guideline was that they wanted a futuristic design. This was because they are in technologies, and wanted to be perceived as an innovative, game changing company. The second guideline was they wanted light colours that were easy on the eye.
Our Design
The first stage of any logo design process is to research. You need to look at the background, values and aims of the company you are designing for. As well as looking in to what their competitors are doing when it comes to brand identity and logo design. Finally, look at any trends in the industry to see what to avoid and anything you can incorporate in to the final design.
The first stage of the real design process is to select the colours that you want to use. This is because it will give you the best possible starting point and can focus your options for the rest of the design. The colours selected for Peace of Mind’s logo were light purples and blues mixed together. We chose this because it was soothing and easy on the eye.
Next up is choosing the symbols and graphics to be used. Peace of Mind’s logo uses a futuristic, almost sci-fi looking design. This was chosen because it makes them look like they are developing technologies that nobody has ever seen before – making them an intriguing and innovative business.
Last to be chosen is the font. In this design we selected a professional, capitalised font because they only dealt with other businesses.
