Repeat Logo are a professional logo design business. We design logos for companies in a range of different sectors and industries. HYDO were one of our clients – a company based in the retail sector. The company sell a range of products, aiming to provide a wide catalogue in order to attract all kinds of customers to their business. No matter what you need – whether that be a camera, all the way through to a cuddly toy – HYDO aim to have options available for you to purchase at all times. They are a company that prides themselves on variety and customer service.
While it can be said for most industries that it is important to stand out from competition. Nowhere is this truer than in the retail sector. That is because of the sheer amount of competitors that you will be battling against for market share. When you think of shops that sell a large catalogue of items, you can instantly think of three, four or even more. Because everyone’s mind goes to Amazon or eBay, that makes it even harder for smaller companies trying to attract the consumer. That is why having a strong brand identity can set you apart.
Strong brand identity is not something that a business can develop overnight. It is a process that takes time. Once it does start to develop however, you will see why it is worth it. One of the best ways to start developing a brand identity is through your logo. This is because your logo is almost going to be the face of your brand, it will be the thing that most people see first when it comes to your company. Therefore, it has to be eye-catching enough to capture their attentions, whilst also being informative and attractive enough that they want to learn more.
We agreed to work with HYDO. This meant that we had to get our design process underway. The first stage of our process is always research. We wanted to learn as much about our client as we possibly could. This would include researching aspects of their company such as aims & objectives, products/services and target markets. Another good aspect to research is their competitive environment. Looking at what they had done in terms of logo and branding would give us a good idea of how to move forward.
The second stage of our process is brainstorming. Using all the information gathered in research, combined with any guidelines the client had given us, we started to get creative. We thought of numerous different designs that would be eye-catching, attractive and informative but also suitable to the client.
Depending on the package you have purchased, we will come up with either 3, 5 or 8 design concepts for you. Sketching these concepts out had to be completed once brainstorming was done. This would give us a better perspective of each logo. It would also allow minor alterations to be made. We then had to package up the designs and send them off to our happy client.
HYDO’s design is just one of many retail logo designs we have completed. Each one giving us a new and exciting challenge. If you have any questions, or want to talk about getting a new logo for your business, contact us today.
