The business – fully named Gray Hawk at Ponderosa – specialise in developing housing. They are based in Iowa in the United States. As of 2018 they have developed housing developments that have properties that are able to be purchased. As well as developing properties themselves, they also sell plots of land so that people are able to buy their dream homes. The demand for housing has grown massively in recent times. The earth’s population is continuously growing with people living for longer while babies are still being born. This has increased the number of houses that are needed. As a result of this, it has meant that the property industry has become even more competitive. Companies are fighting for housing contracts or for people to buy their homes all the time. As a business you need to be able to have an edge over your competitors, making the consumer choose you over them. One way that this can be achieved is through logo design.
Logo design is a great way to build a strong brand identity. Having strong brand identity means that customers know what your business stands for, making you more trustworthy and giving you an edge over the competition. Having an attractive logo that is going to capture the attention of passers-by will mean more interest in your service/product. Gray Hawk had done their research and realised that a great way to develop attention in their homes was through logo design. That is when they got in contact with Repeat Logo. After some short discussions we agreed to design a logo for them.
The first stage of our design process is to do research. It is important to learn several things about a client. We need to know what services/products they offer, what their aims/objectives are and who their target audience are. It is also important to learn about competitors. We will look at what they have done in terms of logo design. Making sure we can incorporate things that have worked for them and avoid any ideas that have not. All this information will give us the best platform for the most suitable design.
Once we had completed our research on Gray Hawk we then moved on to brainstorming. This is the creative stage where we get to think of several ideas for the logo design. We will use any guidelines that the client has given us and will use that in our final design. Our team can either come up with a few designs and show you or go ahead with one – it will be up to you.
We will then sketch out the design so we can see it first-hand. This will allow us to get a feel for the logo and make any changes to improve the final design. Once we feel the design is of the highest quality we will then package it up and send it off.
