Craft Entries are a business in the Information Technology sector. They are a website that is dedicated to providing a platform for the crafts industry. Craft Entries allow people to swap, buy and sell their crafts online. They realised that there was a gap in the market for this sort of platform. The business also has a blog to inform people of the latest news and information in the industry, as well as providing inspiration for craftspeople.
Craft Entries had noticed that although websites such as eBay and Gumtree could be used, there was no dedicated platform for people to buy, sell and swap crafts online. Crafts have had somewhat of a resurgence in recent years. People are now looking to more personalised and unique gifts for their loved ones – making them more memorable and special. That is when Craft Entries started to see an opportunity to be innovative and take advantage of a gap in the market. They started to develop their website – a platform for craftspeople.
No matter how good a company’s idea is, starting out can be difficult. You need to be able to market yourself in the right way in order to reach a large audience. One of the best things a business can do when it is starting out is build itself a strong brand identity. There are several aspects of brand identity. One of the most important is logo design. A logo is going to be the first thing that people are going to see when it comes to your business. This means that it needs to be eye-catching enough to capture their attentions.
Once we had agreed to work with Craft Entries, we began our design process. The first stage of Repeat Logo’s process is always research. We needed to learn as much about the client as possible. This would include aspects of their business such as the products/services they offer, their aims & objectives and who their target demographic was. It would also be important to look at their competitors. By seeing what aspects of their logo design had and hadn’t worked, we could build a much more suitable design for Craft Entries.
We then had to move on to the second stage – brainstorming. This is where we start to get creative and think of different ideas for the client’s logo. We do this by using all the information gathered in the research stage, combined with any guidelines that Craft Entries had given us.
Depending on what package you purchase, we will come up with a certain number of design concepts. The cheapest package will give you three, while our premium Enterprise package will give you as many as eight. Once brainstorming was done, we had to sketch out the design concepts. This would allow us to get a better feel of the final product, whilst also allowing any minor changes to be made.
