People love to have pets. Whether it is a dog, cat, rabbit or something else – they have always been popular. One particular breed of dog that has become more popular in recent times is the bulldogs. They are seen as fashionable and are the in-trend. Because of this, there has been a rise in the number of bulldog breeders. These businesses have seen that there was a demand that wasn’t being met with a supply, creating a gap in the market for them to operate in.
Bulldogs of Scotland were one of many in the United Kingdom that have tried to take advantage of this gap. One dilemma that they had was standing out from their competitors. The best way to do this is through building a strong brand identity. Brand identity will mean that people will know exactly what your business stands for, even if they haven’t used you before.
In order to have a strong identity as a brand, you need to have an attractive logo. The logo for your company should be attractive and eye-catching enough that it draws people in to your business.
The first stage of our design process with Bulldogs of Scotland was to do research. We needed to learn about them as a business. Important things to learn were – what product/service they offered, what their aims/objectives were and who their target demographic are. Another important thing to research is competitors. Looking at what they had done in terms of logo design – what had worked/what hadn’t worked – would help us with our design. All this information gave us the best possible foundation for creating Bulldogs of Scotland’s logo design.
After we had completed research, we moved on to brainstorming. Brainstorming is the stage of the process were we can get creative. Using the information that we had learned in research and the guidelines given to us by the client, we could think of attractive, suitable logo designs. We can either come up with one or multiple designs for you, depending on the package you select.
The last two stages are sketching and packaging. Sketching is where we drew the designs thought up in brainstorming. This gives us a good feel for what the final product is going to look like. It also gives us the opportunity to make any minor changes. We then had to package up our designs and send it to Bulldogs of Scotland.
